Henning Brauer
Henning is 35, lives in Hamburg, Germany, and is the founder and CEO of BS Web Services GmbH, a local ISP/MSP. He's an OpenBSD committer since 2002 and has mostly worked on network-related things, foremost pf – he wrote large parts of today's pf and redesigned it completely, mostly with Ryan McBride. Henning also started OpenBGPD and OpenNTPD, the non-blocking I/O and messaging framework he wrote for bgpd, used by almost all newer OpenBSD daemons. He's working all over the network stack these days, with a focus on the IP layer and, of course, pf. When not working or hacking, Henning likes to use one of his mountain bikes, meet his friends in nearby bars to enjoy brewers’ art and play a round or 10 of table soccer. He likes to travel to and hike in remote locations and is deeply involved in local politics.
